Walk a path to wellness.
By participating in Walk With a Doc, you’ll get to walk alongside your local physicians and healthcare professionals while improving your heart health and have a good time among friends.
Walk With a Doc was launched in 2005 by Dr. David Sabgir, a Columbus, Ohio cardiologist who invited his patients to go for a walk with him in an effort to help them effect positive behavioral change.
When you join a Walk With a Doc event, a doctor will give a brief presentation on a health topic and then lead you and other participants on a walk at their own pace. Healthy snacks, coffee, and blood pressure checks are also provided.
In Greenfield, Walk With a Doc happens every first and third Thursday at 5:30 in Riley Park (May – Oct.) and Hancock Wellness Center (Nov. – April). In McCordsville, it’s every second and fourth Thursday at 5:30 at the Hancock Wellness Center. Learn more about Walk With a Doc at the program’s website.
